I: about the mun
Hey there! You can call me Belle. I'm 24 years old and currently in grad school/starting a teaching program. Note on JKR, Portrayal, & FCs
Simply stated this blog is VERY anti-JKR. This is a welcoming space for the POC and LGBTQIA+ community. I'll be writing Hermione as bisexual and using a POC FC. The core message of the Harry Potter novels was anti-bigotry and even the author being a bigot cannot take that away from us.I have opted for a POC FC for Hermione, Antonia Gentry, to honor her casting in the stage productions. I still adore Emma Watson and will likely feature content of her on this blog, particularly gifsets from the movies and things like that as a character reference / study. These will be tagged with an alternate tag including "Emma W." Despite this content being featured at times, my FC will remain Antonia Gentry for all memes, threads, edits, etc. Any content specifically created by ME for this blog will feature Antonia. I will not change my FC to Emma for any threads or memes so please do not ask, as I will consider that whitewashing and it will result in an immediate hard block. I would hope that such a request would never be made, but I wanted to get it out of the way to be safe!As far as portrayals, I consider myself a mix of book / film based with an emphasis on the novels. I'll likely be rereading the novels all here shortly so please bear with if some of the finer plot points are a bit fuzzy for me right now.
